Saint Aubin VSOP
The "VSOP" was produced in Mauritius at the Saint Aubin distillery. It was distilled from Sugar cane juice with a Pot Still and then aged for 4 years. The rum has an ABV of 42%. This is a limited release and there are only 3400 bottles. 14 community members rated this rum with an average of 6.8/10. The rum smells like Flowery, Fruity and Vegetal, and on the palate there is Licorice, Sugarcane and Volatile.

Rhum très léger.
The nose has a nice mix of exotic woods, cut flowers, vanilla and freshly picked cherries. Further nosing brings out a peppery, spicy note. A sweet palate with a big hit of vanilla. A fresh green vegetable note followed by chestnuts and apricots. The finish is short but with a sugarcane sweetness. A touch of peppery tingle on the tounge. This reminds me of rum from Darsa in Guatemala. Sweet and with woody, exotic nut notes. A touch too peppery at points if I was to be critical.
Un nez subtil dans la fraîcheur, dans le jus de canne à sucre et un peu de boisé... Il invite au voyage... Qu'elle déception en bouche... Une première présence dans le jus de canne à sucre puis est très vite remplacée par l'épicé, le poivre et l'amertume. Une fin très courte alcoolique avec une fin dans l'astringence... Agréable sans prétention...
