Holmes Cay Port Mourant 2005
The "2005" was produced in Guyana at the Port Mourant distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Holmes Cay. It was distilled in 2005 from Molasses with a Double Wooden Pot Still and then aged for 16 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 53%. 6 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.4/10. The rum smells like Medicinal, Nutty and Citrus, and on the palate there is Banana, Light and Cappuccino.

There is complexity here and it is a solid single cask rum but somehow it is lacking that special oomph. Nose is integrated with citrus, banana and a slight medicinal edge. Palate is light with again some banana but nothing too complex, with a warm and fairly short finish. Not my favourite of the HC offerings
