Blends like this are often ignored or overlooked by rum connoiseurs. Let me tell you one thing, they are really missing out. I bought this one cause the bottle got my attention and wasn't expecting anything special, but I was wrong. This rum blend has a bit of the best of both worlds. On the nose, you get a bit of funky jamaican notes with banana and mangoes mostly, and you also get some caramel and oak notes. On the mouth, it has a really great balance with fruity notes and some delicious toffee, milk chocolate, dry fruits and oak flavours, with a creamy and buttery texture. I also get some sherry notes, so I won't be surprised if any of the rums in the blend comes from a sherry cask. It has the right amount of swetness and the personality of the pot still rum mixed with a more relaxed spanish style. Perfect for sipping and, for this price, you won't feel bad using It for cocktails too. I paid 24€ for this bottle in Spain and I must say that it's a proper bargain, beating way more expensive rums that I've tried. Give this a try if you have the chance.
