The "970 Producão 2010" was produced in Madeira at the Engenhos do Norte distillery. It was distilled in 2010 from Sugar cane juice with a Column Still and then aged for 11 years. "Le Rhum 970 est un Agricole produit par Engenhos do Norte à Madère. Pour ce millésime 2010, il est possible de trouver au moins deux vieillissements différents d'après ce que j'ai découvert. L'un est mis en bouteille en 2018 et l'autre en 2021. Dans l'ensemble, c'est un rhum très intéressant qui aurait pu être encore meilleur avec un taux d'alcoolémie plus élevé."
"Tolles Geschenk aus Madeira bekommen. Der Rum hat leider nur 40 %, ist aber sehr gut eingebunden. Ein etwas höherer Alkoholgehalt hätte ihm sicherlich gut getan. In der Nase würzig aber unauffällig. Im Geschmack dann deutlich würzigere Noten sowie Vanille und Banane. Insgesamt runder Rum der auch gut für Einsteiger geeignet ist"
"27.02.2021 A nice blind tasting in a friend's home. Bottles covered in tin foil and only numbers to match up the glass with the bottle. This bottle was actually brought back the week before from a trip to the island where it was produced. I have since grown to like their releases and my friend brings home several bottles twice a year when they have vacation on Madeira. Notes Medium to dark in colour. Nose Fresh and intense, wood, faint smoke, vanilla, light caramel, fruity, plum. Palate Intense, warm, wood, sugarcane, fruity, light floral, faint chocolate, medium spicy, light pear, plum. Finish Long and warm, wood, roasted, dried fruit, light chocolate."
