SMWS Caroni R13.2 Ready-made marmalade
The "R13.2 Ready-made marmalade" was produced in Trinidad at the Caroni distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. It was distilled in 1998 from Molasses and then aged for 22 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 62,1%. This is a limited release and there are only 267 bottles. 5 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.3/10. The rum smells like Alcoholic, Tobacco and Cinnamon, and on the palate there is Woody, Metallic and Honey.

18-19.02.2022 Going through samples at home. Notes Medium to dark in colour. Nose Intense, light wood, faint smoke, spice, light caramel, faint medicinal. Palate Warm, wood, light roasted, tannins, spice, light caramel, light medicinal, faint plum. Finish Long and warm, wood, light tannins, light medicinal, faint prunes, faint chocolate, light caramel, faint chocolate. Extra note. Needs to rest for a good while for the rum to settle and all flavours to be released.
Superbe rhum fruité - il manque un peu de saleté mais je le trouve très bon - ici aussi, l'alcool est incroyablement bien intégré !
