Ekte Rum Uitvlugt Single Cask Rum
The "Single Cask Rum" was produced in Guyana at the Uitvlugt distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Ekte Rum. It was distilled in 1998 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 18 years. The rum has an ABV of 62,2%. This is a limited release and there are only 260 bottles. 7 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.5/10. The rum smells like Peppery, Leather and Burnt sugar, and on the palate there is Creamy, Oily and Berries.

En dégustation parallèle avec le 23y comparable d'Ekte de 1992 (RX3604), légèrement inférieur, pas aussi complexe. Indépendamment de cela, il est devenu de plus en plus remarquable et meilleur au fur et à mesure qu'il a pu respirer.
This is a wonderful rum and I will definitely get back to this one. A backup bottle has already been ordered. The nose is peppery and has a lot of wood in a good way. There is also pear, burnt sugar and a bit of leather in there. The palate is creamy/oily and the rum draws nice curtains in the glass. Lots of fruit, barrel and spice. Later sugarcane and licorice comes to the front and a small hint of olive. The finish is long woody with spices and a hint of marzipan.
Encore une fois, un PM réussi ! L'alcool n'est peut-être pas parfaitement intégré, mais le goût est bien complexe !
A delicious Guyana rum, with lots of “wow-factor”. A good and full taste, that lasts. The alcohol is quite dominating.
