The "XXX" was produced in Nepal at the Khukri distillery. It was distilled from Molasses with a Column Still. Overall better than expected, but nothing I can recommend. The nose dominates by vanilla, caramel and som licorice. At the palate is the scents of vanilla, caramel and licorice still there but it’s also flowery and tastes menthol.
To be honest, you have to admit that the rum is not even that good on its own. It's a mixture of watered-down neutral alcohol with medicinal notes and a little sweetness. I decided to simply pour it into the cola with lots of ice, it's more pleasant but unfortunately not a hit either.
Rhum léger qui se repproche plus d’un Dom Papa que d’un bon rhum vieux. Le bonbon est très présent au nez et la bouche est très floral ! Pour amateur qui apprécie les rhums Légers et/ou spiced.
Foul, medicinal, bitter. Inedible.
