Havana Club Tributo
The "Tributo" was produced in Cuba at the Havana Club distillery. It was distilled in 2019 from Molasses with a Column Still and then aged for <25 years. The rum has an ABV of 40%. I got this one as a birthday present yesterday and it is the fourth year I now have. Only one missing now is the 2020 version. This master piece by Asbel Morales, Don José Navarro and Salomé Aleman (the first female Maestro del Ron Cuban!). A magnificent blend of base rums from 1970s, 1990s and 2010s and then blended with a rum that has rested in French oak barrels for 25. A truly magnificent masterpiece.
A wonderful nose that raises hopes. However, the mouth and finish offer little. The dilution has left too many traces here.
