The "Seleccion Esplendida" was produced in Panama at the Malecon distillery. It was distilled in 1985 from Molasses with a Column Still and then aged for 30 years. The rum has an ABV of 40%. 10 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.4/10. The rum smells like Caramel, Vanilla and Chocolate, and on the palate there is Vanilla, Caramel and Sweet.

"Embouteillé en 2015 donne 30 ans, Wow.La douceur est plus faible que prévu, ce qui est bon parce que l'ABV n'est pas assez élevé pour gérer plus de douceur.La finale moyennement longue va de la même façon que le palais."
"Par rapport au 1979, celui-ci est légèrement meilleur. Un morceau de chocolat suffit pour le ramener à la maison. La vanille est très présente sur ce rhum, mais dans le bon sens du terme. Un très bon rhum et une grande surprise."

American oak is the master on board. It relentlessly unfurls its delicacy of soft wood, chocolate, yellow fruits, tobacco and vanilla. The more roasted notes remain more in the background. The rum is very round and balanced, really delicious. 8,5:The finish is dark and toasty, with a few spices, lingering with notes from the palate. Man could hardly find so smooth rum!.."
