The "Ron Vigia Grand Reserva" was produced in Cuba at the Vigia distillery. It was distilled in 2001 from Molasses with a Column Still and then aged for 18 years. A rum that is very difficult to find commercially, partly because of a high price for its qualities, which are somewhat disappointing. It is a decent rum, but it fails to convince all the way through. A weak point is the persistence, which in my opinion is too short so that it is difficult to smell the scents left over from the tasting (the hint of cigar is elusive).
