Fragrant Drops Savanna Rhum Agricole de la Réunion
The "Rhum Agricole de la Réunion" was produced in Reunion at the Savanna distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Fragrant Drops. It was distilled in 2013 from Sugar cane juice with a Column Still and then aged for 10 years 7mo. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 55,3%. This is a limited release and there are only 288 bottles. 1 community member rated this rum with an average of 6.5/10. Interesting one for sure - the red wine cask has taken a slight lead on the Agricole spirit…. The grassy, floral and vegetal notes are definitely present but the red wine cask adds an ever so slight sweetness to it. Quite a clean and crisp dram as well - maybe a dry red wine cask was used maybe? Like a wine however there’s more tannins and woody tones than there is sweetness overall - relatively challenging but enjoyable none the less Surprised by this one - namely because I had no point of reference to compare it to
