The "Trinidad 2009" was produced in Trinidad. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Rum Shark. It was distilled in 2009 from Molasses and then aged for 16 years. The rum has an ABV of 62,3%. This is a limited release and there are only 261 bottles. 12 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.4/10. The rum smells like Citrus, Oak and Minty, and on the palate there is Minty, Woody and Bitter.

At first sniff I honestly questioned if this was TDL in my glass. Took a while to open up but once it did, those familiar fruity notes started peeking through and I knew my sample was fortunately not mixed. The profile is decent overall, with pleasant warmth and a surprisingly strong minty note on the finish that gives it a fresh kick. Unfortunately, as with many Rum Sharks I’ve tried, the alcohol feels a bit rough and sticks out too much. Better integration would’ve easily pushed this past the 8.5 mark. Still, solid at 8.4.
Vím že Pepa dopředu psal, že „máta hýr“, tak se docela těším 😊Přivoním a jo, na první nadechnutí je jasné, že jde o Trinidad. Ve vůni není přehršel technicity, ale charakter je naprosto zřejmý, taková ta citrusovo/technická nezaměnitelná vůně. Říkám si, je tam máta? Úplně ji necítím, spíše mentol. Tak ju pít. Jo a vono jo. Je tam 😊Nečekejte tedy ten pelyňkovo/petrolejový utrejch jako měl AM RumCZ/SK, ale pohodovou pitelnou Angosturu s mátou, lehkohou technicotou, dřevem. Nemá, resp. v závěru necítím hořkost, což mi u některých Angostur docela vadí. Trochu mi to připomíná LMdR #5, která je oproti #4 trošku jemnější, sladší a méně technická. Jsem spokojen, pitelná Angostura, myslím že ze zatím ochutnaných 3 lahví ji dopiju jako první.
Ve vůni máta, bylinky, vanilka, dřevo, žluté ovoce... cítím i náznaky karamelovo-čokoládové krémovosti ?? V chuti vanilka, máta, čokoláda, více techničtější, dřevo. Parádní mátový dojezd. Tak tohle se hodně povedlo. Žadná mátovo- mentolová ústní voda, máty krásně decentně, nehraje tu prim. A osobně mě mile překvapily krémové tóny ve vůni.
