The "Rum Guyana (Balan Family Selection)" was produced in Guyana at the Port Mourant distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Balan. It was distilled in 2011 from Molasses and then aged for 12 years. The rum has an ABV of 61,4%. "Ganz positiv überrascht. In der Nase die erwarteten schweren Noten aber dann auch eine frische Note von Kräutern? grüner Paprika??. Am Gaumen dann ein gut eingebundener Alkohol mit den selben wechselnden Aromen von Kaffee, Holz und getoastetem Fass und einer frischen Anis/Kräuter/Menthol-Note (bin immer auch noch bei grüner Paprika). im Abgang wie die Pfeffernüsse meiner Oma, mit Anis und Muskatnus"
"Underdog-triple of the Balan series. The nose is quite interesting, roasted notes, some dried fruit, spices, almond.... The fruit and roasted notes are confirmed on the palate. But then the alcohol comes to the fore. Does not seem fully developed. Something is missing. Nevertheless ok,"
