It was distilled from Molasses and then aged for 14 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 58%. Sample von der HanseSpirit‘25. Von diesem Abfüller hatte ich bisher noch nichts im Glas. Nase: fruchtig frisch mit Birne, Apfel, Pfirsich und Kirschen aus dem Glas. Leicht würzig mit Vanille, leicht süßlich mit Honig und Karamell. Dahinter Essig und dezent Ester. Jetzt kommen noch Limette und etwas Umami hinzu; Limette, Apfel und Essig erinnern zunehmend an Essig-Reiniger. Hinten heraus bekommt er einen Einschlag Richtung Joghurt, Schmand und Käse und total schräg- geräucherter Fisch.. In dieser Kombination nicht uninteressant. 7,7 Gaumen: zunächst adstringent und salzig-bitter mit Limettenschale. Dahinter wieder so eine leichte Kirsch-Note, aber nicht frisch, sondern aus dem Glas; und Apfel. Auch ist das Fass mit einer leichten Holzigkeit zu vernehmen. Der Alkohol und die leichten Ester betäuben etwas die Zunge, und es legt sich eine käsige und metallische Umami-Note drüber. Nicht so zugänglich und etwas zu speziell. 7,3
