The "XXX/Five Saint Catherine Jamaica" was produced in Jamaica at the Worthy Park distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Aficianados Group. It was distilled in 2018 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 2 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 65%. This is such an interesting pour because I’d never have guessed it was Jamaican. Sure, the banana is strong, but it’s more like a Port Mourant than a Worrhy Park (from my experience). Wonderful notes of sour cherry or cherry wood and chocolate add to a great and coherent nose and palette.
