Fadandel.dk DDL SXG Diamond
The "SXG Diamond" was produced in Guyana at the Demerara Distillers Ltd distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Fadandel.dk. It was distilled in 2004 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 13 years. The rum has an ABV of 69,8%. This is a limited release and there are only 131 bottles. 3 community members rated this rum with an average of 7.8/10. The rum smells like Brine, Olive and Candied fruits, and on the palate there is Hot, Brine and Barrel.

braucht erstmal etwas an der Nase bis sich der hohe ABV legt, dann kommen kandierte (gelbe) Früchte und Salzlake / Olive (wie ich es auch oft bei den kontinentalen PMs habe). Am Gaumen zienlich scharfkantig, salziger Abgang. Insgesamt festigt sich mein Eindruck, die 2004er Diamond VSG / SXG spielen nicht ganz oben mit…
I did let this rum sit in the glass before tasting On the nose: Citrus notes, lemon peel. Olive and brine notes. Hints of grass. Alcoholic. Taste: Quite hot and alcoholic upfront, Scottish whisky mouthfeel. Then you get brine, sour citrus. Honey notes. Medicinal notes here and there. Finish: Young wood, earthy, herbal mouthfeel. Dry. Olive brine notes. I would say medium finish. Maybe i return to this in the future, but this doesnt work for my palate right now
