The "Dead Reckoning Rum The Black Pit (EHP <VSG> PM)" was produced in Guyana at the Diamond distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Dead Reckoning Rum. It was distilled in 2016 from Molasses and then aged for 7 years 6mo. The rum has an ABV of 50%. The rum smells like Woody, Sweet and Biscuits, and on the palate there is Sweet, Dried fruit and Brown.

Great rum! The nose is dominated by dates/ prunes/ raisin notes which are followed up by some sweetness (marmalade). The palate is both sweet and smoky. It has the dried fruits, wood, leather and licorice. The finish is sweet and oaky.

Very suttle flavours of fruit and sweet. Easy sipping and not very complex but flavours are there. Finishes with a cola taste and feel on the tongue. Smooth and no after burn.
