Tagesausflug Bielefeld April 2025. Shop Whisky Room. Bei diesem Old Monk zugeschlagen. Vanille, Karamell und etwas Holz haben wir hier in der Nase. Am Gaumen ganz viel Kaffee, aber wieder auch Vanille, Karamell und Holz.
L'arôme est agréable. Beaucoup de vanille, de dattes, de barrique, de caramel brûlé. En bouche, rien de compliqué. Fruits secs, vanille, fût, quelque chose de brûlé prédomine. En fin de bouche, les noix et le caramel arrivent. Mes attentes étaient faibles, cette bière m'a donc relativement surpris par sa buvabilité. Edit : botllekill après un petit échantillon de Diplomatica et Monk donne l'impression d'un rhum totalement sec 😀 😀
The first plus that does not smell of sugar. Perhaps completely without. The taste and aroma are quite pronounced. I can't shake the impression of the addition of rum rub and a bit of tampering with the years of aging. However, at this price, a lot can be forgiven and in its price range it is a very interesting piece!
On The Rocks: On the nose a caramel sweetness with mild hints of vanilla and oak. Taste reveals a beautiful caramel sweetness with hints of vanilla and oak with a gentle spice. Finish is short with the caramel sweetness fading away to a slight bitterness. Mixed Pepsi Zero: No Pepsi Zero on hand. Super sad.
