The "Union Folklore Series #13" was produced in Reunion at the Savanna distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Raising Glasses. It was distilled in 2017 from Molasses with a Column Still and then aged for 6 years. The rum has an ABV of 61,7%. The rum smells like Vanilla, Caramel and Cookie dough, and on the palate there is Orange peel, Milk chocolate and Cookie dough.

This is a surprise given other things from Savanna I’ve had, given they were all cane juice. This is all desert; banana bread all the way on the nose, with some baking spices and chocolate notes on the palette and finish. Very nice, although not my particular style.
