Romdeluxe Poisson Collectors Series No. 19
The "Collectors Series No. 19" was produced in Guadeloupe at the Poisson distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Romdeluxe. It was distilled in 2018 from Sugar cane juice with a Column Still and then aged for 5 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 63,1%. This is a limited release and there are only 247 bottles. 13 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.5/10. The rum smells like Plum, Tropical fruit and Caramel, and on the palate there is Caramel, Vanilla and Woody.

#5017 31.12.2024 Relaxing watching TV while waiting for 2025. Nose Wood, light roasted, fruits, dried, fruit, light plum, spice, light cherry, light caramel. Palate Intense, wood, light roasted, fruits, dried fruit, light cherry, light herbs, light caramel. Finish Long, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, light cherry, light herbs. The empty glass has light herbal and a light smoky note.
Accessibility 3/5 (Difficult). The oloroso sherry cask is dominant but the French oak is distinct. This is a difficult one. Lots of burnt woody notes in a very spirit heavy rum, and with the sweetness well buried underneath peaty and spicy tastes.
