The "Réunion Island Agricole Rum No. 2" was produced in Reunion at the Savanna distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Holmes Cay. It was distilled in 2023 from Sugar cane juice with a Savalle Still and then aged for Unaged. The rum has an ABV of 50%. 8 community members rated this rum with an average of 7.1/10. This is a tasty cane juice rum with a good balance of vegetable funk and high abv. This could be as good as Neisson but it has a very strong unpleasant astringent flavor. I drink this with lime. I won't rebuy.
This is delicious! Olive brine and citrus on the nose. Thick mouthfeel, more olive brine and herbs. Long earthy, brine, and grassy finish. This is going to be a lot of fun to cocktail with!
Enjoyed at Three Dots after event with Eric and ORS. One of the better unaged agricoles I’ve had, with slightly less tropical fruit that I prefer.
