A fruity aroma, somewhat sweet, esters with some glue. The taste is slightly sweet and fruity, with a surprisingly bitter finish.
smells of cantaloupe, sweet, a little port flavour mild, almost honeyed, I smell a little wet wood from the cask
A subtle sweetness at the start, funk, delicious dried fruit, tannins and a slightly smoky undertone that reminds me strongly of whisky. The finish is spicy with a surprisingly long metallic aftertaste. For whisky fans, this is certainly an ideal introduction to Jamaica rums, but somehow seems incomplete to me. In a direct comparison, I would always give priority to the WP Single Estate.
