House of Macduff Clarendon Golden Cask Rum
The "Golden Cask Rum" was produced in Jamaica at the Clarendon distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler House of Macduff. It was distilled in 2000 from Molasses and then aged for 22 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 48,7%. Nose is average, with brine and some olive and butterscotch. Mouth brings some tropical fruits which end with an almost umami edge and some peat and smoke. Fresh and balanced but it’s easy and one dimensional at the same time. Finish a bit rough on the finish, some schnapps and fir tree like elements with that Smokey undertone. Not great example of the distillery
