The "2004" was produced in Fiji at the South Pacific distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Holmes Cay. It was distilled in 2004 and then aged for 17 years. Fantastic rum. You first have to give it time to open up and then you are rewarded with great dark aromas, chocolate, coffee, some wood and a little fruit. Very tasty and the flavor of the nose continues consistently in the finish. It's a shame that it's not so easy to get hold of a bottle like this in Europe, but if you get the chance, you should make the most of it!
