Vers Clarendon
Very oak forward, approaching over oaked territory for my personal tastes. Definitely some vanilla and spice on the mid palette and finishes with something mouth cooling/minty. Not getting much fruit on this one, will probably be used on my whiskey friends as a gateway. Edit: After a few more tastings I've dropped this rating. Normally I find rums improve on subsequent tastings but not here sadly.
Not for me, to many artificial flavors like varnish and paint thinner. Tried 5 ImpEx expressions that night and this one was last by a good ways.
I was super disappointed! I’ve had other Clarendon offerings that were funky and complex, so for the price I was hoping to treat myself but it just fell away to an overpriced bourbon flavor in a nice package.
