A rum tasted in direct comparison with RX12713 and it's surprisingly different. Quite a dry, bitter nose of dried fruit and grapes, and like a mutated spirit (Pedro Ximenes or white port). On the palate, there's a lot of bitterness, herbaceousness and spiciness, and lots of young wood. The finish is long on spice, wood and bitterness. In the empty glass, this rum becomes much more elegant and the flavors become more balanced. For me, not as good as its 2006 brother.
Un vin merveilleux. Un profil gustatif très particulier. Fruits jaunes croquants, prune cerise verte, chocolat blanc, Calvados, Agricole, herbeux. Très savoureux. Je l'aime encore plus que le 2006.
Au nez, il rappelle un peu la tequila vieillie.
Tasty drops, nice fruity smell. A little spice and wood thrueout the nose and palate, a little musty and wood with grapes in the Finnish, in last spectrum of the Finnish I feel like a light ammonia presence, I could be mistaking this for the barrels roasting or maybe something's resembling smokiness. I also initially thought I smelled a light whiskynote, could be connected...Overall absolutely worth to have tried when exploring rum from madeira or in a collection of such.
