Dictador Rima 1
The "Dictador Rima 1" was produced in Colombia at the Destilería Colombiana distillery. It was distilled in 1997 from Molasses with a Column Still and then aged for 25 years. The rum has an ABV of 50%. This is a limited release and there are only 293 bottles. 11 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.0/10. The rum smells like Woody, Coffee and Dark chocolate, and on the palate there is Spice, Dark chocolate and Nutty.

Compared to other Dictador rums, this single cask reminds me very much of a travelers rum from Belize. Great and round flavors that make a delicious Spanish rum. The nutty, toasty and brown flavors and spices are dominant, followed by faint fruit. Round and spicy in the mouth at 50%, a little peppery, a few percent more would have been appropriate. Overall a solid rum, although the price is a little high.
Grâce à un taux d'alcool un peu plus élevé et aux influences du fût, il est un peu plus passionnant que les mises en bouteille standard, sans pouvoir vraiment enthousiasmer. Le spectre aromatique reste étroitement limité à des notes typiques du style espagnol, sans apporter de point fort particulier. Malheureusement, il ne m'a pas vraiment enthousiasmé.
06.02.2023 Another set of Dictador samples for home tasting. Colour Dark to very dark. Nose Fresh, light wood, faint varnish, light nutts, faint chocolate, faint honey, light coffee. Palate Light wood, medium intense, light coffee, spice, light ginger, cherry, light cinnamon, faint orange. Finish Medium long, light wood, faint roasted, dried fruit, faint caramel, spice, light cherry, light chocolate. The extra % in the ABV raises the bar a bit.
