Surprisingly little sweet for a spiced. Also only 14g per liter. The spices/fruits pineapple, ginger, cocoa, coffee, mace, clove & star anise all come through nicely without dominating too much. Especially for long drinks such as rum cola with lime or with ginger ale, I think this spiced rum for 20€ is absolutely fine.
Very spicy, artificial.
Spiced in Indonesian, that can only be wild for the European palate - and it is. Wintery, combined with lots of cardamom and cloves. Smells like the secret cauldron at the back of the mulled wine stall. On its own, it becomes much more pleasing and, above all, more fruity. Lots of orange in particular, a hint of citrus and the freshness of Arrack underpin the first half. In the second half, the spices come through more, especially clove. The sweetness has honey and even some maple syrup. I think it's great, but it makes drinks a little difficult. Winter ones yes, everything else will be a challenge. I'll add it when something good turns up. Unfortunately none of the bacon is left from the unseasoned one. That would have been the icing on the cake!
Reminds me a little of "Big Red". If you like spiced rum, you have to try it. Instead of the classics like vanilla or coconut, I think the focus here is on the fruitiness! Lots of pineapple and ginger. A great product in the spiced sector and makes many great twists on classic drinks possible. A must try!
