"Angenehm trocken, rauchig und holzig. Netter Einstieg um Panama probiert zu haben, aber etwas langweilig..."
"It’s good but there is not a lot of complexity going on here. Cola and a bit of wood. Almost a Dr Pepper thing going on but without the spice. It’s pretty sweet and smooth. Probably a quite decent mixer and a good “beginner” intro to decent rum. Have not had Panamanian rum before so not sure how representative this is. Worth trying at the bargain price. Update: Picked up a bottle of 8 year aged 103 proof single barrel Grander and did a tasting between these two. The Grander is better, more intense in flavor and more complex as you expect. But the flavor profiles are unmistakeably related so based on that I’d say that the Cane Island is a worthy representation of Panamanian rum. It held its own admirably against one that is twice as expensive. Based on this I’d buy it again."
