Takamaka PTI Lakaz est un mélange intrigant de spiritueux des Seychelles distillés en pot et en colonne, vieillis dans des fûts de porto et de bourbon et terminés par une infusion de rhum Foursquare. Son arôme est riche en notes de caramel, de bois et de vanille, menant à une bouche étagée avec des saveurs de bois jeune, de café et de caramel. Alors que le nez est très apprécié pour sa complexité et sa chaleur, le goût manque légèrement d'ampleur, montrant une finale moyennement courte avec des nuances poivrées et florales. Ce rhum est reconnu pour son nez agréable et son profil polyvalent, mais peut sembler un peu dilué en bouche. 8:On the nose, the first impression is toasted oak, then dried apricot and cocoa, toffee with clove and other sweet spices and an anise. It is dry as the second nose is smoky with caramel, vanilla and tropical fruits. Certainly it is a nice combination of Bajan and Seychelles rum, where the first is a bit stronger. 7,9:On the palate, the attack is dry and woody, toasted with dried apricot, anise, dried fruits, cocoa, and nutmeg. As we could also taste some cherry, butterscotch, molasses with liquorice as it is a bit chocolatey. There are confectionery notes with biscuits, cake. Nice and tasty. 7,8:The finish is long with toasted wood, dry, fruity and spicy....
Ein komplexer Blend aus Pot und Column Still, gelagert in Portwein- und Bourbonfässer und letztendlich mit Foursquare-Rum geblendet. Sehr schöne Nase, die direkt an Barbadosrum erinnert und ich mit 8+ bewerte. Allerdings hinkt das zu dünne Mundgefühl etwas, da eine alkoholische Schärfe zu spüren ist.
Bottle Market Bremen Oktober 2024. Ein leckerer Takamaka, hätte ich nicht gedacht. Schöne Noten von Vanille und Karamell in der Nase. Am Gaumen ebenfalls Vanille und Karamell, außerdem lässt sich etwas Kaffee erkennen. Bin positiv überrascht.
The rum is said to have been blended with Foursquare. In any case, the Barbados markers are present on the nose, with sweet spices (nutmeg), gourmet coconut, exotic fruit (pineapple), dried fruit, caramel and a lightly toasted woodiness. It's almost hard to find the Seychelles identity in this blend. At first, the palate is rather bland. There's an unpleasant bitterness, noticeable dilution and, despite everything, a touch of alcohol that throws the whole thing off balance. After aeration, the juice becomes more aromatic, with fruit (banana, coconut), cocoa, coffee, caramel and melted wood. The finish brings a touch of freshness with fruit, before falling back to spices, wood and caramel. A rather simplistic profile, not bad but struggling to create its own identity.
