J'aime la couleur claire malgré l'âge.Fruité avec du bois fumé et des épices ainsi qu'une légère note d'herbes.J'aime le palais chaud et que la noix de coco est là en arrière.Le rapport qualité-prix est assez bon.
Surprising. Not unpleasant, but the smoke and rubber notes are a little too present for me. It lacks a little fruitiness to turn it into a super rum.
The dark forest honey on the nose, a little smoke - not quite as powerful as the TRC WIRD 12yo - and a hint of vanilla are classic for the 2000 Rockleys. Not quite as spectacular a nose as my two comparison candidates (TRC 12yo 61.6% and DT 15yo 52%). Addendum: after 20 minutes standing time, the rum opens up considerably and becomes more bitter, herbal and much more interesting :). On the palate, the same game as on the nose: the rum definitely needs at least 15-20 minutes until it is fully there. Vanilla, pepper, honey, cloves and a well-integrated 54% then await you. The rum has a slight tannininess that I don't know from any Rockley - not disturbing but surprising at first sip. In the finish, the light smoke from the nose comes to the fore again and of course the medicinal and herbal notes. A solid, good 2000 Rockley, which for me plays in the 2000 Rockley midfield! 83 points
