A very tasty Long Pond on the nose, with a great greediness between pastry notes (cookie dough, marzipan), overripe exotic fruits (pineapple, mango, banana) and citrus fruits (lime, orange zest). The phenolic aromas (ester, varnish, glue) are well balanced and accompany a fermented note that fits well with the pastry and vanilla side of the rum.We find in mouth an extremely greedy and round rum. Very nice balance between tropical fruits and esters. The spices and the pastry notes bring a beautiful gustatory seasoning. The alcohol is very well integrated. The finish is as long as delicious, very fruity, very phenolic with a good dose of spices, a woody touch and a semblance of crème brûlée for dessert. A very successful continental Long Pond, which achieves a flawless and unstoppable winning combination.
11e jour du calendrier Sample de Luxe. Un délicieux Long Pond qui me rappelle toutefois fortement un Hampden. Pas de caractéristiques uniques comme la note d'olive, pourtant souvent typique.
