It was distilled in 1999 from Molasses and then aged for 24 years 6mo. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 63,95%. 19.06.2025 Retasting and I still find it pretty good. --------------- 05.06.2022 A nice day running through samples. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light wood, light peat, light smoke, faint caramel, dried fruit. Palate Oily, wood, light peat, light smoke, light caramel, light spicy, light sweetness, dried fruit. Finish Long and warm, oliy, wood, light smoke, light peat, light caramel, lightly sweet. Extra note. This is a rum that splits waters and definitely one that whisky drinkers will like. The cast finish is very present and may push many over the edge.
Déjà au nez, la finition au whisky se distingue clairement. En bouche, cela se poursuit surtout dans la finale. Même si elle est probablement relativement réussie, car elle s'accorde bien dans l'ensemble, je ne peux personnellement pas trop m'en servir.
Wow. DefiniteIy rumbthat differs from others. I just dont know, id it is great or just different. Roasted nuts. More similar to peated whisky than to rum. Edit- I just found out this is Isla cask finish. That explains everything
Je n'aime pas vraiment ce produit. Fumée bizarre.
