The "Ingvar Thomsen" was produced in Madeira at the Engenhos do Norte distillery. It was distilled in 2010 from Sugar cane juice with a Column Still and then aged for 8 years. The rum has an ABV of 53,6%. This is a limited release and there are only 233 bottles. 2 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.5/10. The rum smells like Caramel, Coconut and Milk chocolate, and on the palate there is Butterscotch, Coconut and Milk chocolate.

"When I opened the bottle, I was not convinced at all. But after oxidizing, it reveals a nice potential.the mouth and the nose are coherent.what is interesting in this rum is the way it evolves during the tasting. First we feel rather the green coconut, the grape then the side chocolate coffee comes in force. The caramel and vanilla coat the whole. A salty note makes you want to go back to it, even if it is quite heavy.the alcohol is rather well integrated.very good with foie gras!"
