Am Anfang erinnert er an das klassische Pagos-Profil. Am Gaumen kommt dann aber eine extrem wilde TECA-Note dazu, fleischig, umami und grüner Apfel. Hat richtig Power, gefällt mir sehr gut! 🔥
Meines Erachtens ist hier das Finish doch sehr Dominant und das gefällt mir persönlich nicht. Ein wenig von dem jamaikanischen Hampden Funk ist zwar erkennbar, mehr aber auch nicht. Für den Preis der aufgerufen wird, hätte es ein Pagos für weniger Geld auch getan.
Interessanter C<>H, bei dem man ab dem Gaumen einen starken Fasseinfluss spürt. Umami und etwas fleischiges gepaart mit Estern, tropischen Früchten und leichtem Rotwein halten recht lange im Abgang an. Nach längerer Zeit im Glas muss ich sagen, dass er mir immer besser gefällt.
Wahnsinnig toller und überraschend runder Hampden für das doch junge Alter! Der Sherry Einfluss ist angenehmerweise nicht zu dominant, ich würde hier auf Oloroso oder Amontillado tippen aufgrund der nussigen und salzigen Aromen. Sehr stimmig funky und fruchtig sowie leicht fleischig/umami. Schönes Ding! Für 64% brutal gut integrierter Alkohol!
